looking for maya photo 01Looking for Maya An industry very much in crisis now, “Maya Nagari” (as we decided to call our mistery woman – it’s the name given to Mumbai as the “city of dreams”, equivalent to the “big apple”) saw the opportunity to cut the “middle man” in her business and buy one of the now abandoned factories in Biella. She saw a gap in the market and decided to start her enterprise from scratch, using cheap materials and labour brought from her country, and copying the big Italian brands.
